Activities & Events

Your Sunrise community organizes activities and events based on the general interests of residents and their families. Your feedback and input helps structure meaningful activity schedules and promote an enriching and fun place to live and learn. Care Levels

The Sunrise Individualized Service Plan and regular wellness assessments determine the level of care residents require to enjoy life at the community. It is important you and your loved one are part of the planning and assessment, as well as a physician. Care levels increase as a resident requires more assistance with activities of daily living. Speak with your neighborhood coordinator for more information.

Companion Living

Companion Living brings together two residents to share a suite. The bond that develops between roommates as they share recollections and pursue activities together can significantly improve their outlook on life by relieving feelings of isolation and depression and building confidence and self-worth. At the same time, Companion Living offers savings over a single occupancy suite. Learn more here.

Continence Care

We believe that incontinence is not an inevitable consequence of aging, but a symptom that can be managed in a way that minimizes disruptions and loss of dignity in our residents' daily lives. Sunrise Senior Living is sensitive to these special needs and believes that with individualized attention and care, residents experiencing incontinence can continue to live active, independent, and productive lives.

Dining

We are dedicated to making dining a special experience each day. The dining team learns each resident's preferences and to anticipate individual needs. Our chefs are eager to showcase their skills in the kitchen, producing dishes that are as appealing to the eye as they are to the palate. Many are graduates of top rated culinary schools. The communities offer choices of entrees at breakfast, lunch, and dinner and a la carte dining, too which focus on from scratch cooking methods so meals are as fresh and tasty as possible to serve a variety of palettes. Health Products

We are pleased to share that we do have relationships with health care product companies that do offer savings to residents. Ask the executive director or health coordinator for more information.

Home Health / Private Aides

Some of our residents and their families want a full time aide to provide assistance throughout the day and/or night who only serves them and complements the care and service provided by the community. Ask our care coordinator or executive director about options.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping is part of the numerous services provided to residents living at Sunrise. If you have a question about housekeeping, laundry or other services, please contact the executive director.

Hospice

We work with preferred hospice providers who have agreed to abide by established best practices. Hospice providers, in conjunction with Sunrise staff, tailor a resident- and family-centered hospice care program. Together, we make it possible for our residents with end-of-life needs to receive highquality, hospice care while remaining at Sunrise. We serve all residents who are eligible and desire to receive hospice care. Hospice consultations are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Maintenance & Handyman

The community maintenance coordinator keeps the building and grounds well maintained. They are also available to assist residents with handyman tasks. Some additional fees may apply. Ask your maintenance coordinator or executive director for more details.

Medication & Pharmacy

Meeting your medication needs in a safe and accurate manner is important to us. So is helping reduce your drug costs. That's why our pharmacy's packaging solution is designed to conveniently deliver the medications you need at the right time, on the right day and in the right dose.

Physician Services

Doctors do still make house calls! The community may welcome physicians and specialists to support the need and interests of the residents on a regularly scheduled basis.

Payment & Billing Services

Each month the community bills for the next month rent and care fees plus issues credits and charges for the past month’s ancillary services. Please contact the community business office coordinator or executive director if you have questions about your monthly statement.

Problem Resolution

The community team is at your service. Speak with a team member at the community about an issue or concern you may have. They are happy to address it and try to resolve it to your satisfaction. If you have a major concern and can’t get it resolved at the community you are encouraged to speak with the community’s area manager. After that, please contact us here.

Rehabilitation & Therapy

In some cases, certain forms of rehabilitation and therapy can be provided in the comfort of your home at the community or in a part of the community specially licensed for such services. We also have relationships with posthospital, post-surgical centers that can offer more complex round-the-clock nursing care. Ask the community health coordinator or executive director for more information.

Short-Term Respite Stays

If you know a family who could benefit from Sunrise’s services, but hasn’t yet made the decision to move, we offer Short-term Respite stays. Our Short-term Respite Stays are a perfect option for families needing temporary assistance with the care of a senior loved one.

It gives the senior in their life a special getaway to meet new friends, enjoy good food and receive personalized care. And, it gives the caregiver flexibility and convenience when it is needed most. A worry-free break for a loved one. And, peace of mind.

Transportation

Our community offers transportation to and from a variety of group events and activities out “on the town.” The transportation is well maintained and serviced and the driver is licensed and tested for the safety of all passengers. Transportation can also be scheduled for residents needing to visit their doctor.

The View

Today, the number of seniors experiencing low vision problems is on the rise. In many cases, the inability to see properly compromises one’s independence and well-being. Sunrise has developed a solution to this growing concern- The View.

The View provides customized, low vision services and amenities in a comfortable environment. Residents’ rooms and community areas are painted with contrasting colors and are equipped with assistive tools to maximize independence. Specialized activities aim to increase quality of life and encourage interaction with other residents.

Wellness Services

Each resident has the opportunity to meet with the community nurse on a regularly scheduled basis for a check-up. There are also regular opportunities to update the resident's individualized service plan. But, wellness extends into all aspects of a residents life here at the community – in dining, activities, caregiver and other opportunities. Ask the community health coordinator for more information.
